Meet Our Team!

Switchback Gear Collective was thoughtfully developed by eight women in the UNC Gillings Masters of Public Health program. We are all firm believers in health equity on a broad scale and we bring this passion to our organization every day, from outdoor education, to pay-what-you-can pop-up sales, and more.

Natasha Teasley (she/her)

Owner, Two Sisters Adventure Company

Natasha became involved with Switchback shortly after its inception. She is a part of the CAB because she is passionate about the Switchback mission to make the outdoors and adventure more accessible to everyone.

Nicole Coscolluela (she/her)

Urban Homesteader, Beekeeper, Higher Ed Professional

Nicole supports Switchback because access to nature and outdoor recreation is beneficial in many ways. Firstly, it can develop an appreciation and respect for the environment - crucial for developing more stewards to protect our resources. Secondly, it can support mental and physical health. The fresh air and limited sound and light pollution are good for the body and soul.

Alan Pomeroy (he/him)

Program Director for the NC Youth Outdoor Engagement Commission

Alan was fortunate to have grown up experiencing the great outdoors and understand the lifelong benefits of experiences like camping and hiking. As such, he is motivated to develop programs and support organizations that give communities the opportunities to experience their outdoor spaces and learn about their natural resources. Access to equipment can be a barrier to families enjoying the outdoors, so Alan is proud to serve Switchback in its mission to support equitable access through the provision of affordable gear and learning resources.
